Today I am turning in my last final. The next month, until January 20th, is my own. I get Christmas and New Year's and my birthday and birthdays of family and friends in that time.

I got up early today to go out to a shooting range with three friends, two of whom had never shot a gun before, like me. The third friend is a firm advocate of the second amendment, and in his own words, "considers it his patriotic duty to teach as many people as possible the glory of firearms."
